Executive Coaching & Strategic Advisory

In Your Corner, Invested in Your Success

High-trust partnerships for senior leaders navigating complex roles, critical decisions, and demanding chapters. Space to think clearly, lead confidently, and make meaningful progress.

Who I Work With

I work with senior leaders and executives who are steering large, complex organisations.

They’re accountable for big decisions, rapid shifts, and the performance of entire functions. They’re surrounded by people, but the space to reflect, test their thinking, or focus on their own direction often gets lost in the noise.

My clients typically reach out at key points of change, challenge, or growth. They work with me to:

At the heart of every engagement is the same need: space to think clearly, reflect honestly, and stay sharp where it matters most.

The Unspoken Truth

A critical insight I’ve learned over the years – about what it can feel like operating in a leadership role –  and how the right partnership can help.

Three Core Themes

Over the years, I’ve observed three broad core themes behind why leaders choose to work with me. Some with one theme, some with multiple, and some moving between over time.

These themes are intended to be illustrative, to provide further insight and depth, rather than a prerequisite for working together.

Whether you identify with one of these themes, a blend of all three, or you’re not yet sure, know that our partnership will always be tailored, focused on you and achieving meaningful results.

Leadership Ascent

Seeking or stepping into a bigger role, shaping a new chapter, or seeking more stretch and fulfilment.

Whether exploring the next role, navigating the recruitment process, or transitioning into a new position – support covers everything from career clarity to hitting the ground running in the next job.

Leadership Reset

Regrouping after a tough period or turning point, ready to refocus and realign with purpose and momentum.

This is about pressing pause with purpose, restoring clarity and energy, and setting a clear course for what’s next – one that’s motivating, sustainable, and aligned with what matters to you.

Strategic Partner

Seeking high-trust support to lead with clarity and impact across a breadth of responsibilities.

Part coach, part strategic sparring partner – focused on performance, decisions, relationships and results, with someone who understands the pressures and complexities at the top.

How We Work Together

With 20+ years in banking, most as a director, and nearly a decade coaching senior leaders, I understand the pace, pressure, and isolation that comes with leading from the top.

My approach blends coaching with leadership insight, strategic advisory, and practical guidance. Sharp thinking, commercial acumen, and grounded support – not just as a sounding board, but as a true thinking partner. You can expect stretch, reflection and momentum.

Clients describe our time as the one place they can be completely honest – with themselves and with me. A space that’s real, and always productive.

There’s no fixed formula. It’s a bespoke, high-trust partnership that adapts to your world – helping you think strategically without slowing you down.

Most often, our work begins with a structured programme to navigate key decisions or transitions, then evolves into ongoing support through your different chapters of leadership.

For You & Your Team

Once our partnership is established, many clients extend the coaching benefit to their teams. Coaching leaders in their teams, psychometric insights, or development support for emerging talent – tailored to goals and context.

I have a trusted team of experienced coaches with real leadership backgrounds – delivering high-quality, confidential support that can help strengthen performance and engagement.

I also contribute through fireside chats, roundtable discussions, and speaker panels on topics where specific insight can unlock progress.

My two books and stationery range can offer lighter-touch resources when you want to share practical thinking with your team.

What Clients Say

Leaders describe the partnership as transformative – a safe space where they can think clearly, be challenged constructively, and make meaningful progress.

It’s practical support grounded in real-world experience, delivered with care and genuine investment in their success.

Is This The Right Fit?

By now, you've got a sense of who I am, how I work, and what's possible when we partner together. Coaching at this level is very personal. It relies on trust, honesty, and shared values. It's important that the fit feels right - for both of us.

I work best with leaders who value integrity, growth, and impact. People who are open to challenge, ready to reflect, and committed to progress, even when the work is demanding. If that sounds like you, there's a strong chance we'll work well together.

You don't need to have it all figured out. You just need to be willing to show up, be honest about where you are, and take the first step.

If you're feeling positive about what you've read, the only way forward is to talk. No pressure, no hard sell - just an honest conversation about where you are and whether I can help.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here you’ll find a selection of questions I most frequently get asked on enquiry emails and calls. If you want to read the full suite of FAQs, you can find them here.

Do you think you can help me? / Have you worked with someone like me before?

I work with senior leaders and executives steering complex organisations – people accountable for big decisions, leading substantial teams, and navigating constant pressure. I’ve worked with hundreds of leaders across FTSE 100/250 companies, public sector bodies, and high-growth organisations.

The real question is whether what you’ve read here resonates with you. If the way I describe the work feels familiar, if the client insights ring true, if my background and approach make sense for what you’re facing – that’s a strong signal we should talk.

This website is designed to be transparent about who I am and how I work. So if you’re nodding while reading it, let’s have a conversation and explore the detail together.

How do I know if we're a good fit?

I work best with leaders who value integrity, growth, and impact – people who are open to challenge, ready to reflect, and committed to progress, even when the work is demanding.

Fit is also about whether you recognise yourself in who I work with, the settings they’re in, and the topics we tackle together. If my approach resonates, if the way clients describe working together sounds appealing, if our values align – that’s a good foundation.

The final piece is whether we connect when we talk. This work is personal – we could be spending a lot of time together – so it matters that the partnership feels right for both of us. The enquiry call allows us to explore all this.

What happens on an enquiry / introductory call?

The enquiry call is where we work out whether we’re a good fit to work together. No two conversations are the same because everyone’s starting point is different, but here’s what typically comes up.

We’ll talk about you – your background and current situation, what’s brought you to the call, and what you’re hoping to achieve from a coaching partnership, both in terms of results and how it runs and feels.

We’ll talk about me – I’ll share my background, my approach to coaching, and my thoughts and responses to anything you’ve raised. You can ask me anything you want.

And we’ll talk about practicalities – how soon we could start, what a coaching programme could look like for you, and budgets and pricing.

The goal is an honest conversation where we both get a sense of whether this feels right.

What would we talk about in a coaching session?

The honest answer is that no two sessions are ever the same – – even with the same client – they can take many forms and directions depending on what you need.

Sessions are driven by your coaching objectives, which we define well at the start of our work together. From there, each session is mostly directed by what you bring and what you want to get out of it. I will always prepare for our time together and encourage you to do the same.

Sometimes I’ll pick up on themes I want us to explore. Sometimes we’ll use a specific tool or framework to help us think something through. Many times, it’s free-flowing conversation that goes where it needs to go to achieve the right outcome.

What I always say to clients is that there will always be plenty to talk about. Our job, working together, is to ensure it leads you towards achieving your objectives – and that we remain focused on that goal.

What does your ‘blend of coaching and strategic advisory’ mean in practice?

Direction and decisions always lie with you – you’re highly capable and experienced, and it’s crucial that your choices are your own. This work only succeeds if you’re invested and motivated to move things forward, which means the next steps and action to achieve it have to come from you.

My role is to help you reach those decisions through robust exploration. I’ll bring a coaching approach that helps you examine your own thinking, but I’ll also inject insights and experiences when it’s welcome, appropriate and relevant.

I get to know you quickly, and use my judgement about when to stay quiet and let you do your thinking, versus when some talking points might be helpful. It’s that blend – coaching questions, strategic insight, and practical guidance – that clients describe as “more than just coaching.” And we’ll always check that how we’re working together is working for you.

The goal is always clarity, momentum, and decisions you feel confident about.

What does a typical coaching programme look like?

I work with building blocks that shape a programme rather than standard packages. It means I can put together something that’s the right approach for my client and their objectives.

Whilst it’s always bespoke, there are patterns. My initial programme with a client tends to average around 8-9 months in duration, with a minimum of 6 months and usually a maximum of 12.

The cadence and length of coaching sessions varies by client according to their personal preferences, availability, and objectives. Typically, we’re looking at either 60 or 90-minute sessions, spaced between 3-6 weeks apart.

Most sessions are run virtually, though some clients include some in-person time in their programme – these I run as immersive half-days at a location in North Yorkshire.

There are also options around psychometric profiles and between-session contact, but I’ll advise on all that once I know more about style and objectives.

The goal is building something that delivers, not fitting a client into a pre-set structure.

What are your fees?

My pricing is bespoke for each client – shaped around objectives, the support they need, and the timeframe we’re working to. Once we’ve talked and I understand those things, I’ll send a clear outline including the fee.

Not publishing programmes and fees isn’t me being cagey; rather, it’s the bespoke nature of the work.

Nonetheless, if you’d like a sense of investment, very few programmes for organisations attract a fee less than £6,000 + VAT – so use that as a starting point.

People sometimes ask for an hourly rate, but my work doesn’t translate that way – this is about value and impact. What you’re investing in is over two decades of leadership experience at director level, deep expertise in organisational change and people leadership, and coaching experience tested with hundreds of senior leaders. It’s the kind of investment you’d make when recruiting a senior director, rather than a junior manager.

You’ll find coaches priced both lower and higher than me. What matters is finding the right fit for you – someone whose experience, approach, and track record aligns with what you need to achieve – and fees that align with budget availability.

I don’t offer fee reductions (and I’m often asked) – I understand and believe in the value of the work for the individual and the organisation. I choose to provide some pro bono work each year, which I offer out by invitation.
